The JET Program

In the spring of 1992 shortly before my graduation from university, and with the vague notion of a career in the EU, a friend of mine had the bright idea of spending a year ‘out’ teaching English in Japan. My degree was in French and German so The JET Program seemed like the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for languages, travel and meeting new people. Little did I know that it would change the course of my whole life…
